Inside the SHEIN app and website there is a section called the Free Trial Center. Once a week it receives a new batch of items. Any member can open it and apply for up to 3 of them. SHEIN's system then selects a limited number of applicants; the selected ones receive the item with the shipping paid by SHEIN, test it, and publish a review with photos within 10 days. The item is theirs to keep.

What most people miss: the list is weekly and the applications are weekly. What you don't send this week is simply gone; next week starts a new round with new items.

Three steps, all inside your SHEIN account

  1. Open the Free Trial Center. It sits inside your account menu, not on the home page. The guide on the next page shows the exact path for the app and for the website.
  2. Pick up to 3 items and apply. Choose your size where it applies and confirm the address you already have in your account. There is nothing to pay and no form outside SHEIN.
  3. Wait for the result and, if selected, review. SHEIN publishes the result in the Free Trial Center on the second Tuesday after you apply, and also sends an email. Selected members post a review with 1 full-body photo and 2 detail photos within 10 days of delivery.

What SHEIN looks at when choosing

Followers don't come into it. According to the program's own rules, SHEIN weighs your activity on the platform and the quality of the reviews you've posted before, and the number of people selected each week is limited. In practice this means two things:

  • You can apply in the same week you create an account. There is no minimum age for the account and no level to reach first.
  • Each round builds your history. Every application and every review you complete is part of what SHEIN sees next time. Starting this week is what makes next week's odds any different.

Nobody can sell you a spot. There is no fee, no partner site and no link outside SHEIN that "confirms" your application. If someone asks for card details for the Free Trial, it isn't the program.

  • One active SHEIN account. SHEIN removes members who use several accounts to apply for more items.
  • A delivery address in the same country as the SHEIN site you use. For the US program, a US address.
  • 18 or older. The program is for adults.

Is it really free?

What if I'm not selected?

Nothing happens. Your application simply expires with that week's list, and you can apply to the new list the following week. Applications don't accumulate: it's up to 3 per week, every week.
